How to Make Money Online Without Investment in 2022

I get this question quite often in my email about how can I make money online without any investment because <ANY REASON>.

You don’t need investment at all to get started online. To set up a website in WordPress, it costs between $5 to $8 per month. At current forex rates, it is under Rs.500 per month. In other words, Rs.15 Rs per day. I am sure is less than the cost of internet connection which they are using to email me those question.

So clearly it is the mindset that needs to change.

My reply to each such email is, you can’t. Not because it is not possible to make money online without any financial investment but because of the mindset.

People have such a negative mindset for an online business for a reason. Either they have been scammed in the past or have heard horror scam stories.

But it happens all the time everywhere

You will see so many horror stories about stock market investment, but then we have Warren Buffett.

You don’t stop riding a bike or an airplane because someone else met with an accident.

So why when it comes to setting up a business online?

I am sure anybody who has a computer and an internet connection in India can afford 10 Rs per day expense.

Still, I will share three genuine ways to make money online without any investment, i.e., not even investing a single penny. First, you will generate the income and then spend some part of it on building a business out of it.

Ways to Start Making Money Online Without Any Investment

So let me share how anyone can start an online business and make money without any investment.

1. Start Working for Clients as a Freelancer

Freelancing is something anybody can start without investing a single penny. You can create an account on any of the top freelancing sites.

It shouldn’t be tough for anybody with some expertise to make money online on PeoplePerHour. However, if you are considering data entry jobs, you are sure to make your life miserable.

2. Product Reviews on Free Blogging Platforms

Online freelancing is confined to specific niches. Mainly programming, web design, admin support but they are very technology-oriented.

There are very few freelancing tasks available for other areas of interest like Physics or maybe economics or any other subject as such. With such interests, freelancing may not be ideal to start.

Does it mean you can’t make money online with no investment?

You can.

I am sure you read books for the subject of your interest, and you can write views and reviews about those books. To start with, you can start with free sites like WordPress.com, medium.com, or Hubpages.com.

Now you may have a question on how you can make money out of those views and reviews.

In your review, you can share affiliate links to buying those books from Amazon.in. Here is my guide to help you get started with Amazon India Affiliate.

As an example, you can see my views of books and each of the books has an affiliate link to Amazon India.

Be careful about recommending books that you think are genuinely worth for your readers.

You don’t need any investment to start with. As you make sales by promoting those books in your social media circle, you can later go about creating a WordPress blog for it.

3. Drop Ship Method of Selling Anything Online (non-branded)

You may argue the above options are for people who are more slightly techy and not for someone who is purely non-technical or may not be very fond of writing.

You can still make money online without any investment. Let me share how.

All you need is to have an option to click pictures. Take a picture of a product that is available in shop next-door or market nearby.

I live in an area where there is a massive market for shoes. I need to visit a good shop in the market, click a picture of shoes using my mobile phone or camera, and then list that product for sale on any online marketplaces.

Once I have made a sale, I can buy the item and ship it. I didn’t even need to invest money buying shoes before making a sale 😀
