How Much Time Upwork takes to Deposit Money to an Indian Bank Account?

Upwork takes 4 to 5 working days to deposit money into my HDFC Bank account in India. However, it can vary depending on your bank.

Here is my latest withdrawal that I initiated on the 24th of March 2017 which was a Friday.

I always initiate withdrawals in the morning and normally first thing in the morning. Within a few minutes to an hour, I get the withdrawal confirmation email from Upwork.

After the confirmation, it normally takes 12 to 24 hours for your withdrawal to be processed. I have seen that if you place the withdrawal request early morning in India, the payment gets processed the same day in the evening when the US day begins.

The payment processed email is sent that has the expected date of delivery. From my experience, I seldom see that date is missed.

As you can see the amount hits my bank account on the 29th of March 2017.

If the amount is not credited on the Upwork’s expected date of delivery, it should be credited to your bank account the next working day. If it doesn’t, the local bank may be the cause of the delay. For calculation sake, 24th to 29th March with both inclusive days has 4 working days.
